Ethel A. Gardner, 91, of Middletown peacefully passed away Friday, January 25th, at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. Ethel was born in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late Herman J. and Elizabeth Yehle. After her father passed, she was raised by her step father, the late Carl Duerr. During WWII, Ethel did "war work" at RCA assembling vacuum tubes. She later went on to become a realtor in Monmouth County with the Gill Agency.
Ethel was predeceased by her husband Gerard J. Gardner in 1997. She is survived by their two sons John G. Gardner and his companion Kathleen Otterbine of Wayne., Richard L. Gardner and his wife Theresa of Atlantic Highlands and their daughter, Dorothy and her husband Richard Ewaskiewich of Middletown. Ethel is also survived by her grandson Michael Gardner and his wife Mary, 5 grandaughters Heather and her husband Stephen O'Sullivan, Lynn and Leah Gardner, Kathryn and Christine Ewaskiewich, and 5 great grandchildren, Hailey, Grace, Ella, Connor, and Liam.
Ethel's cremains will be interred with her husband at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fl.
