Michael Brazauckas Obituary

Michael Brazauckas, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on February 13, 2024, at the age of 70. He was born on September 17, 1953, in Jersey City to the late Harold and Catherine Brazauckas. At a young age, his family moved to the Bayshore area, where Mike spent his entire life.

Mike will be remembered for his outgoing and social personality. He cherished the company of his family and friends, always seeking to be surrounded by loved ones. As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he brought joy and love into the lives of those around him.

Professionally, Mike worked as the production manager for White Rose Frozen Foods at their Long Island plant. He took pride in his work and made significant contributions to the company.

Outside of work, Mike was an active member of the Middletown Elks Lodge 2179, where he served as the Past Exalted Ruler twice. He also belonged to the Goodfellows Social Club, where he formed lasting friendships. During the winters, Mike and his wife, Linda, enjoyed spending time at their home in Boynton Beach, Florida, for 19 years. There, he was part of a bowling league and cherished the regular card games with his group of friends. Whether the NY Giants were winning or losing, Mike was an avid fan and followed their games passionately.

Mike's impact on the lives of those who knew him was profound. He will be fondly remembered for his fun-loving demeanor, caring nature, and generosity. His love for his family was evident in everything he did.

Mike is survived by his two sons and their wives, Danny and Carol Goodbody, and James and Jessica Goodbody, his daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and Charlie Spears, his sister Cindy Elliot, sister-in-law Karen May, 6 grandchildren (Samantha, Nicki Rose, Danielle, Erin, Lilly, Jacob), and a great granddaughter (Rylee)
He was predeceased by his wife of 39 years, Linda Brazauckas, his brother Danny May, and sister Diane Brazauckas.

A visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 - 6 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals. The evening will conclude with a service, followed by a private cremation.
