Carol Eccleston, 78, of Hazlet, passed away Saturday, June 29th, at her home. Carol was born in Jersey City, on October 10, 1940, a daughter of the late Dorothy and Leon Howard. She was raised in Port Monmouth and lived there until she moved to Hazlet in 1963, after marrying her husband, Gerald. Carol loved taking pictures; she always had a camera with her. She enjoyed outings with her husband. They attended car shows and she accompanied him to Espresso Joe's in Keyport on Wednesdays when Jerry sang and played guitar.
Carol was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Gerald Eccleston, in 2017. She was also predeceased by her brother Bobby Howard and sister , Marie Burkhardt.
Carol is survived by two daughters, Tina Eccleston, of Georgia; and Lori LaManna and her husband Roy of Freehold; a son Gerald, Jr. and his wife Joann of California. Carol also leaves behind a brother Jack Howard of Morganville ; two sisters; Dotty Severage of Wall and Bobbi Ann Zemalkowski of Belford; 8 grandchildren: Sophia, Justin, Jordan, DJ, Destiny, Dakota, Holden and Jada along with 2 great grandchildren; Isabella and Ethan.
A Memorial Gathering will take place Saturday, July 6th from 2-4 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, 153 Church St, Belford. A service will conclude the afternoon.
