George Terry Obituary

George S. Terry, 83, of Eatontown, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019. George was born in Long Branch on July 15, 1936, a son of the late Dorothy and Lewis  Terry. George proudly served his country during the Korean War with the US Army Air Force from 1955 to 1959 and then went on to serve in the Reserves until 1963. In 1964, he got a job at Bell Labs in Holmdel where he started as a Porter and worked his way up to a Computer Programmer. He retired in 1995. T, as many people called him,  loved to play golf and bowl. He was known as the "Cookieman" in his bowling league because he always brought fresh homemade cookies. He loved to cook and bake! He made goodies for all of his friends. He was a great friend to all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
George was predeceased by his siblings; Robert, Lewis, Edward and "Sis" Julia Williams.  He is survived by his dear friends, Theresa Barry and Cindy Mirro along with their entire families who fondly called George "Uncle T."
