Richard G. Huhn, 48, of Hazlet, passed away Tuesday, October 30th, after a valiant battle against lung cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York. Richard was born in Belleville, New Jersey on March 11, 1970, a beloved and loving son of Doris Huhn of Hazlet and the late William R. Huhn. He resided in Bloomfield before moving to Hazlet 13 years ago. Rich was an audio and visual technician at International Audio and Visual in Whippany. He enjoyed camping and spending time outdoors. His passion in life was music. Rich played several instruments, including the bass guitar, trumpet, piano and drums. Rich also had a great love of animals. His dog Mallory and cat Oscar will miss his company and he will be deeply missed by his mother, wife and children.
Richard is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 25 years, Amy Huhn and their two sons James and Nicholas. Rich also leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, William "Billy" and Lisa Huhn along with their children Louis, William and Kaitlin; and his sister and brother-in-law Lynda and Joe Hable, along with their children Joe and Sarah; He will also be greatly missed by his Uncle Gary Huhn, Aunt Barbara Troxel, sister-in-law Becky Van Sant, niece Bobbi-Lynn, Brother-in-law Brooks Van Sant, and cousins; Darlene Robbins, Michael Robbins, Michelle Huhn, Late Gary Huhn, Bonnie Morris, Robert Morris, Chris Morris, Patti Carnes, William Smith and great-cousins.
A Memorial Gathering will take place at the Union Garden Fire Company. 235 Park Avenue, Park Ave and Park Street in Union Beach, from 2- 6 pm on Sunday, November 18th.
