Susan L. Britton

Susan Lynn Britton (Crotchfelt) of North Carolina and New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, after a very courageous battle with cancer. Susan attended Middletown schools before graduating from Henry Hudson Regional High School. She was then employed by Shrewsbury State Bank for several years before marrying and moving to North Carolina where she continued her education with high honors in Finance.  Susan faced all of life's challenges with strength and a generous spirit. She was the happiest when she could spend time with her family and when she was on the water fishing with her sister Melanie.
   Susan was predeceased by her husband Edward Crotchfelt, her father, Neil Britton and her step-father Werner "Bert" Beutel.  She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Britton and her granddaughter Adelyn Martin, with whom she lived. Susan also leaves behind her mother Doris Beutel; her step-mother Helga Britton; her sister and brother-in-law Lisa and Bruce Bisbee; her brother Jeffrey Britton along with her sister and best friend, Melanie Hrbek. She will be missed by her cherished grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and her extended family and friends.
    As per Susan's request, her funeral services were private and entrusted to Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals in Belford.
