Anthony Barry, 69, of Matawan, passed away Tuesday, February 13th. Anthony was born in Pennsylvania to the late Helen and John Barry. Tony lived in Port Monmouth for over 25 years until Superstorm Sandy diplaced his family. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Tony was a truck driver for Ho-Ro Transportation. He enjoyed working...he loved his job and travelling to different areas. He also enjoyed fishing, playing dominos and being outside in nature.
Anthony was predeceased by his wife of 25 years, Cynthia Barry, in 2015. He is survived by three sons; Anthony J., of Sayreville; Chris, of Florida; Frank, of Matawan; and his daughter Dawn of Pennsylvania. Tony also leaves behind three brothers, Ronnie, Jack , and Charlie along with 8 grandchildren; Emma, Jonathon, Genesis, Ashlyn, Annelise, Naomi, Savannah and Giovanni. He was predeceased by his brother Francis and his sister Helen Ann "Nell" Brown
A Memorial Gathering will take place Sunday , February 25th from 2-4 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, 153 Church St., Belford. A Memorial Service will conclude the afternoon.
