Arthur Joseph Conquest, 61, of Middletown, passed away Saturday, February 18th, at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Arthur was born in Concord, Mass. on February 11, 1962, a son of Beverly and Joseph Conquest. He was raised in Massachusetts, then joined the Navy where he served over 20 years. He was stationed on the USS Seattle for 10 of those years before serving in the Reserves. He was last stationed in New Jersey and decided to make it his home. Art has worked for the Twp. of Middletown Sewerage Authority for the past 25 years and was looking forward to retirement.
Art loved being outside. He enjoyed walking on the beach and riding his bike around town. He was extremely handy and could build just about anything. He was currently redoing his back yard and making a garden and patio. Art adored his dog Elmo and loved when his "Grand-cats" came to visit. His Thursday nights were usually spent watching Ghost Adventures with his daughter Cierra. He will be fondly remembered as a loving father and dear friend.
Arthur is survived by his four children; Joseph (Sarah) Conquest, Kimberly Conquest, Amanda (John) Allenbaugh and Cierra Adderly along with her mother and Art's dear friend, Christine Adderly. He also leaves behind his parents, Beverly and Joseph Conquest; a sister, Linda Corish; a brother, Robert "Bob" Conquest; 3 grandchildren; Olivia, Bentlee, and Neil and his nephew Tommy Corish.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects on Thursday from 5 - 8 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals. A Service will conclude the evening and a private cremation will follow.
