Barbara Marie (Capestro) Acker

Barbara Marie Acker, 79, of Port Monmouth, passed away Saturday, February 13th. She was the "World's Best Mother and Nanny." Her family everything to her. She also had an appreciation of music. She could rock out with the grandkids or sing to the oldies, it did not matter what kind of music it was, as long as there was music she was happy. 
Barbara was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Kenneth Acker Sr. in 2003. She is survived by her two children; her daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Tommy Trotter and her son Kenneth Jr. and his fiancee Laura Giordano, all of Port Monmouth. She also leaves behind her 5 grandchildren Karissa, Dominiquea, Jessica, Augie and Gina.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects on Wednesday from 5-8 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, 153 Church St., Belford. The funeral service will be held that evening around 7:30 pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital .
