Cynthia Pasternak, 82, of Keyport, passed away Monday, April 17th. Cynthia was born on December 26, 1934, a daughter of the late Susan and Otto Vogt. Her family moved to the Bayshore area when she was a child. Cynthia worked as a bookkeeper at several local businesses over the years. She belonged to St. Catherine's Church and enjoyed reading, playing bingo and trips to Atlantic City. Cynthia loved to cook and was know for her golabki and oxtail soup.
Cynthia was predeceased by her husband Edward in 1991. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Guy) Griffin of Mass.; 2 sons Daniel (Courtney) Pasternak of Morristown; and Edward Pasternak of Middletown. Cynthia also leaves behind her brother Raymond (Joan) Vogt of Md. and 2 grandsons; Liam and Ryan.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Saint Catherine's Church, 5 Shore Acres Ave., Middletown, at 9:30 am on Thursday, April 20th. The committal service will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
