Daniel "Dan" Belenski, aged 62, a cherished father, partner, brother, and friend, passed away at his home on May 12, 2024. Born on November 25, 1961, in East Orange, New Jersey, to the late Jacqueline and Anthony Belenski, he was raised in Iselin and later resided in Port Reading, where he raised his family before settling in Union Beach 4 years ago. Dan's kind and adventurous spirit enriched the lives of all who knew him.
Dan spent his professional life dedicated to the NJ American Water Company, where he served as a foreman for large meters for the past 25 years. His commitment to his work was matched only by his dedication to his community, exemplified by his years of service with the Port Reading Volunteer Fire Company. Dan's colleagues will remember him not only for his strong work ethic but also for the warmth and camaraderie he brought to the workplace every day.
An interesting man with a zest for life, Dan's passions were as big as his heart. His love for riding his Harley was more than a hobby; it was a way of life that led him to the scenic Bayshore area, where he enjoyed the freedom of the open roads along the shoreline . Music was another of Dan's great loves, and he sought every opportunity to immerse himself in live performances, sharing his favorite tunes with those he loved.
Above all, Dan was a devoted father to his children, Daniel J. Belenski and Nicole Belenski. His pride in their accomplishments knew no bounds, and he reveled in every moment spent with them. Dan's joy in his children's growth into young adults was a testament to the love and guidance he provided as a parent along with their mother, Carmel King.
Dan's journey through life was shared with his loving partner, Lynn Kuchinski, who stood by his side, sharing in the laughter, dreams, and adventures. Together, they created a tapestry of memories that will continue to provide comfort and inspiration.
He was a beloved brother to his siblings, John, Anthony, and Thomas Belenski, Catherine Cesco-Cancian, and Jacqueline Robjohns Cariss. The bond he shared with his brothers and sisters was fortified by mutual respect, shared experiences, and an enduring sense of family unity. Dan's nieces and nephews will carry forward the light of his spirit, having been profoundly influenced by his kindness.
Dan's life was a reflection of the qualities he embodied: kind-heartedness, an adventurous soul, and an endlessly interesting character. His stories, laughter, and the sheer force of his personality have left an indelible mark on those who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
As we bid farewell to Daniel Belenski, we celebrate a life well-lived, rich in experiences, and abundant in love. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us. Dan's journey on this earth may have concluded, but the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the love he shared will resonate for generations to come.
A Memorial Gathering will be held to honor Dan's memory on Sunday, May 19th from 3 - 5pm. A Service will conclude the afternoon. His family takes solace in knowing that he lived fully, loved deeply, and left this world a better place for his presence. Dan's laughter, wisdom, and spirit of adventure will be forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew him.
