Daniel Murphy

Daniel Murphy, 65, of Belford, passed away Wednesday, September 7th. Danny was born and raised in Jersey City, a son of the late Irene and Thomas Murphy. Danny was a part of the Courtyard Crew at St. Paul's Greenville School and later graduated from the Marist School for Boys in Bayonne. He was a laborer for the Jersey City School District for many years, even after he and his family moved to Belford 18 years ago.  Danny enjoyed socializing with his many friends. Once you met Danny he was hard to forget and will be missed by many.
Danny is survived by his high school sweetheart and devoted wife of 27 years, Debra and their two sons Daniel Jr. and Conor. He  is also survived by a brother, Thomas (the late Maureen) and his niece and nephew, Kelly and Sean Murphy.  Danny was predeceased by his brothers Michael and Robert.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects Sunday from 2-5 pm at the John P. Condon Funeral Home, 804 hwy 36, Leonardo. The funeral service will be celebrated that afternoon around 4:30.  A private cremation will take place on Monday.
