David Carr Obituary

David J. Carr, 66, a longtime resident of Belford passed peacefully on March 13, 2024. Known for his compassionate nature, fun-loving personality, and kindness towards others, David touched the lives of many. He served in the US Navy as a Black Seal Boiler Operator. Using the skills he learned in the military, he went on to work for various universities and corporations, where he excelled in maintaining boiler systems.

Outside of work, David had a passion for NASCAR and enjoyed traveling the racing circuit with his partner. He also loved restoring old cars, tinkering with their mechanics, and on a smaller scale, building model cars. Living by the shore, he found solace in boating and fishing, especially enjoying fishing trips with his father. Later in life, David took up coin collecting as a hobby, adding to his diverse interests.

David is survived by his 3 children, Melissa, Brittany, and David, as well as his siblings Douglas Carr, Kimberly (Michael) Adams, and Dana (James) Monahan, along with their families. He was predeceased by his parents, Jerome and Annabelle Carr, and his longtime companion, Winnie Cordery. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family will be holding a private committal service and burial to honor David's life. In lieu of donations, the family requests that you cherish the memories you shared with David and continue to spread kindness and compassion in his honor.
