Diane C. McShane, 50, of Matawan, passed away Saturday, January 8th, after losing her fight against Covid. Diane was raised in Union Beach and lived in the Bayshore area most of her life before settling in Matawan with her family in 2001. Diane has always worked in food service. Over the years, Diane worked at Freedman's Bakery in Belford, then at Shoprite, where she met her husband, and most recently, she was the cook at Up the Creek in Keyport. Diane was an avid bowler. She belonged to a league for years, but her favorite bowling buddies were her husband and children. She also enjoyed cosplay and attending Renaissance Fairs with her best friend. Diane's love for candles led her to be a PartyLite representative for a while. Diane will be fondly remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, her sarcastic wit and her tough cookie attitude with a huge soft heart on the inside. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Diane is survived her devoted husband of 22 years, Chris McShane and their two beloved children; Christopher, Jr. "Stink" and Kiernan "Pooks." She also leaves behind her parents; Eugene Yuelling of Keansburg and Kathleen Bork of Hazlet along with two brothers; John (Larra) Yuelling, of PA.; Greg (Madea) Yuelling, of South Jersey and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects on Wednesday from 2 - 6 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals. A funeral service will conclude the evening and a private cremation will follow.
