Dick DeLeon, 76, of Keansburg, passed away Thursday, March 22nd. Dick was born and raised in Syracuse, NY, a son of the late Ruth and Gerald DeLeon. He graduated Nottingham High School and attended Syracuse University. Dick then moved to Watchung, NJ, where he lived for 24 years and eventually settled in Keansburg 22 years ago. Dick was a salesman at Ace Wire and Cable in Carteret for over 20 years and retired 6 years ago. He was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching games at The Stadium on the Keansburg Boardwalk. He also enjoyed evenings at Piero's Restaurant.
Dick is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lee DeLeon, and 5 children Ricky DeLeon, David DeLeon, Nicole Honrath, J.D Devine and Linda Young. He also leaves behind 2 sisters; Barbara Kellish and Claire Vurarro along with a brother, Bruce DeLeon and 15 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Maria Devine. Services were private and entrusted to Bayshore Cremation Servics in Belford.
