Dora M. (Cain) Gillam

 Dora M. Gillam, 80, a longtime resident of Belford, passed away Sunday, December 29th. Dora was born in Enterprise, Alabama and lived there until she met her husband, George, while he was stationed there during his service in the Army. They then lived in Oklahoma briefly. Once Geroge was discharged, they returned to George's home town of Belford where they settled and raised their family. Dora enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She always put her family first and loved being a wife, mother, and especially a grandmother.
   Dora is survived by her devoted husband, George Gillam, Jr. They would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on January 11th. She also leaves behind two sons; George Gilliam, III and his wife Lena, of Belford ; Louis Gillam of Alabama, 6 grandchildren and 3 great granddaughters. Dora was predeceased by her daughter Dorene Cafiero.
  Friends and relatives may pay their respects on Saturday from 2 - 5 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, 153 Church St., Belford. A funeral service will conclude the afternoon and a private cremation will follow.
