Edward F. Farrell, 75, a lifelong resident of Belford, passed away Monday, November 30th. Eddie was an excavator with the Operating Engineers local 825. Prior to that he owned and operated Farrell Construction Co. and Farrell's Hide-away Bar in Keansburg in the 70's and early 80's. Eddie enjoyed spending time at the Belford docks socializing and being on the water, whether at the docks or on one of his boats. Eddie had many grandchildren and cherished the time spent with each of them.
Edward is survived by six daughters, Patricia Farrell, Cathy Mason, Tammy Favorito, Farrah Farrell, Coleene Farrell, Kristie Farrell, and a son, Edward Farrell, Jr. He is also survived by his brother, William Farrell, many beloved grandchildren and his long time friends; Gene Grasso, Joey Hayes and Eddie Fisler.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects Sunday from 2-5 pm and again Monday 11- 12 pm followed by the funeral service at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, 153 Church St, Belford. The committal and entombment will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
