Edward W. Foster, 52 a lifelong resident of Middletown Township peacefully passed away at his home Tuesday, November 21st. He was raised in Belford and later moved to the Crestview section of Middletown in 1991. Eddie was a graduate of Middletown High School North. He was inducted to the High School Hall of Fame for his football career. The same year , his father was also inducted and they were the first Father-Son duo to be honored. Football remained a favorite pastime for him as he coached Pop Warner for many years. Eddie was an active member of the Middletown Elks Lodge 2179 for over 25 years and was the Parade Committee Chairman. Eddie was a foreman with Simpson & Brown , Inc. and worked out of Local 1556 Dockbuilders and Piledrivers Union, NY/NJ.
Edward is survived by his beloved wife Susan and his children Brittany and Eric, along with his mother Arlene Foster and brother Robert C. Foster, all of Middletown. Eddie also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends. He was predeceased by his father Robert in April.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects at a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, November 25th from 4-7 pm. A funeral service will take place 6pm that evening at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, 153 Church St., Belford.
