Edward Sonnick, 62, of Keansburg, peacefully passed away Sunday, July 30th surrounded by loved ones. Ed was born in New York City, a son of the late Warren and Margaret Sonnick. Ed was a lifelong resident of the Bayshore area. He dedicated many years of patronage and work at the Applejack Bar in Keansburg. Ed loved music, spending time at the beach, fishing, and enjoying a "cold one." He was part of the Applejack Pool League and enjoyed spending time with his friends. His fondest memories were with his brother Tony and his best friend Jeanna who was always by his side, especially during his last days.
Ed is survived by three sisters, Barbara (Thomas) Hoban, of Fla.; Mary (Philip) Caparaso, of Hazlet; Charleen "Chipper" (richard) Bonnelli, of Illinois; and three brothers, Anthony Sonnick, of Keansburg; John (Janet) Sonnick, of Hazlet; Daniel Sonnick, of Keansburg; many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his children and family along with his best friend Jeanna Hulsizer and many other dear friends.
Friends and family may pay their respects Thursday from 3-6 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, 153 Church St., Belford. A Remembrance Service will conclude the evening and a private cremation will follow.
