Garrett Edward Dlin, 30, of Matawan, passed away Tuesday, June 29th. Garrett was born in Plainfield and raised and lived in Leonardo most of his life before moving to Matawan, 3 years ago. He was a Union Timberman and Dockbuilder with Local 1556 in NYC. He also owned and operated Dlin Precision Mobile Detailing along with working on bikes in his spare time. Garry belonged to the Pagan's Motorcycle Club, the Asbury Park Chapter. Garry was a family man, a great father, a brother to many, a great son and an amazing husband. He had a passion for just about anything with an engine. He spent his free time wrenching and tinkering on any motor he could fit a wrench around. He was an outdoorsmen, Loved riding and going camping or as he would call it “let’s go get lost” he was a spur of the moment “gas up boys” and Shelly, him and the boys would head out and go camping or spend the weekend out of town and enjoy each others company. He was a simple man not hard to please. A little fire and his family was all he needed.
If you knew Garry He was a selfless person anything he had was yours and he would always offer to fix something for you even if it came back a little bit more broken than before he touched it. His passion for motorcycles started at a young age and he was hooked ever since. He loved old bikes especially old Harley’s and their gas tanks.
Garrett is survived by his wife Michelle, his 2 sons Gunner and Jameson, his mother and father Kathy and Barry and his brother, Zack and sister Paige and on top of that, the whole community and many more family members and long time friends. He will forever live on with all of us. Garry left behind a lot of great people and a lot of responsibilities. This weight we all will lift together. Garry was sadly struck by a motor vehicle Tuesday afternoon and did not make it. If you know Garry you knew he was happy on those 2 wheels.
