Jacqueline E. "Jacquie" Rutt, a cherished soul known for her loving nature, adventurous spirit, and courageous heart, passed away on July 3, 2024, after a long illness. Born on December 21, 1975, she was raised in Middletown. After marrying, she and Neil moved to Toms River where they raised their family. They returned to Monmouth County 4 years ago and settled in Union Beach. Jacquie's life was a testament to the joy and resilience with which she approached every day. She departed from this world, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Jacquie was the beloved daughter of James Preston and the late Stephanie Lepre. She shared a beautiful and enduring love with her husband of 28 years, Neil Rutt, Jr. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Chelsea and Neil Rutt, III, who were the light of Jacquie's life. She was a devoted sister to Jennifer Preston, a caring daughter-in-law to Linda Rutt, and held a special place in her heart for her dear family friends, Darcy and Brianna.
Professionally, Jacquie dedicated herself to the well-being of others as a home health aide with Meridian. Her compassion and warmth made a lasting impact on the lives of those she cared for, and her colleagues remember her as a beacon of kindness and dedication in the workplace.
Jacquie's zest for life was evident in her personal interests. She was an avid reader, always with a book at hand, and she had a particular fondness for horror movies, which she watched with an infectious enthusiasm. Her love for the outdoors was unmistakable. Camping and road trips were among her favorite activities, with the Delaware Water Gap being a frequent and beloved destination for her and her family.
Those who knew Jacquie will remember her as a woman who embraced life's adventures with open arms. Her courage in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all, and her love for her family and friends was boundless. Jacquie's presence brought joy and comfort to those around her, and her memory will continue to be a guiding light for her loved ones.
Jacquie's life was a beautiful journey that touched many hearts. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her legacy of love and adventure continues to live on in the stories shared by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
As we bid farewell to Jacqueline E. Rutt, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the countless lives she enriched. Her spirit will forever roam the scenic paths of the Delaware Water Gap and the quiet corners of her favorite reading nooks. Jacquie's story is one of love, laughter, and the courage to embrace life's every moment.
