John G. Burkhardt, Jr.

John G. Burkhardt, Jr., 76, a longtime resident of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, July 12th, at Bayshore Community Hospital. John was born in Newark, a son of the late Elizabeth and John G. Burkhardt, Sr. He and his family moved to Middletown where he was a highly regarded Shore Confrence football player for High School North . John later became a mason and belonged to Bricklayer Union Local 5 iu #114828 for many years.
John is  survived by a daughter, Michele Stone; a son,William Burkhardt and their mother Ethel Anderson, along with two sisters Nancy King and Catherine Richardson and 6 grandchildren. John was predeceased by his son John III and infant daughter Denise.
