Louise Reilly Seitz, "Butchie", 91, formerly of Navesink, peacefully passed away Thursday, September 17th, at home. Butchie was born and raised in Rahway, New Jersey on August 12, 1929, the only child of the late Emily and George Reilly. After marrying, she and her husband, Harold bought their first home in Middletown where they raised their family. After Harold passed in 1986, Butchie moved to Navesink, where she stayed until recently moving in with her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Reenie. Butchie worked at Bell Labs for several years until she had her children. When the boys got older, she went back to work. She was a secretary for many years with the Orthopedic Consultants in their Red Bank and Middletown offices. Louise was a devoted member of the All Saint's Memorial Church in Navesink. Her life revolved around her church. She led the Alter Guild for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her friends from the church and travelled to several countries with those ladies. Louise also had a fondness for opera and orchestras. She made sure to never miss Father Alphonse's concerts with the Saint Peter Orchestra by the Sea every year. She also supported and attended the Monmouth County Civic Chorus Orchestra concerts in Red Bank for many years. Before her husband passed, Butchie looked forward to family trips up to their home in Maine. She loved being by the water, spending time with her boys and sneaking off to savor some quiet time reading.
Butchie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harold G. Seitz in 1986. She was also preceded by two of their sons; Glenn and Paul. Louise is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Mark and Reenie Seitz, of Belford; and her son Robert Seitz, of Burlington. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren; Jenna (Bobby) Lazar, Glen (Paige) Seitz, Jillian Seitz and Alexis Seitz along with her much adored great-grandson, Bo Lazar.
Louise will be laid to rest next to her husband Harold at Fairview Cemetery during a private family committal. A Memorial Service will take place at a later date at All Saints Memorial Church. Please check the website for updated service date and time.
