Margaret Shopp Obituary

 Margaret C. Shopp, 76, of Belford, passed away Monday, April 19th. Margaret was born and raised in Jersey City, on July 17, 1944, a daughter of the late Mary and James Whelen. After marrying, she and her husband Ronald moved to Belford to raise their family over 53 years ago. Margaret was a nurse's aid at several area nursing homes, for many years. Margaret enjoyed travelling and camping with her husband and family. She and her husband would visit flea markets in their travels. Margaret also liked to tend to her garden at her home and she enjoyed afternoons at the movies. 
   Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Ronald  Shopp, in 2000.  She is survived by their 8 children; Albert Shopp, and his fiancée, Debbie, of Belford; Ronald and Claire Shopp, Jr., of Belford; Christine Marnian of Florida; Joseph Shopp, of Belford; Carol Ann, widow of Paul Bedford, of Leonardo; Timothy and Rosie Shopp, of Middletown; Patrick and Lynn Shopp, of Port Monmouth; and James Shopp, of Belford.  She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Margaret was predeceased by her brother James Whelen and sister Mariann DeAngelo.
   Friends and relatives may pay their respects on Friday from 2 -4 pm  at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals. 
A Funeral Service will conclude the afternoon and a private cremation will follow.
