Marianne J. Cappeto, of Belford, passed away Thursday, January 25th. Marianne was born and raised in Newark, the daughter of the late Josephine and Joseph Cipoth. She lived Hillside and then Union for 29 years before moving to Belford in 2002. Marianne and her husband also had a home in Virginia Beach where they spent half their time. Marianne worked for at Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company Newark for several years. She currently worked as a research librarian for the Edward Cayce Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in Virginia Beach. Marianne enjoyed riding her bike, hiking within the Monmouth County Parks system, and trips with the Roads Scholars. She was an avid Reiki Master, practiced yoga and was a student of the Course in Miracles.
Marianne is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, A. J. Cappeto. She also leaves behind her two sons; Joe, of Miami and Paul and his wife Jen along with their son Henry, of Toms River. Marianne is also survived by her brother Robert Cipoth of Colorado Springs.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects Saturday from 4-7 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, 153 Church St., Belford. A funeral service will conclude the evening and a private cremation will follow.
