Mary McInally Boehm,”Mary Mac” 53, a longtime resident of Hazlet, passed away October 1, 2021. Mary was born in Glasgow, Scotland on August 17, 1968, a daughter of Mary and the late Arthur Austin. She and her family came to the United States in 1976 and eventually settled in Hazlet. Mary tended bar at the American Legion. "post 321 in Union Beach. Mary, or "Mary Mac" was a one in a million. She would light up a room when she came in, people would just gravitate to her! She was the one who would be singing karaoke or the one dancing across the floor. She loved parties with her family and friends and she would be the one who always made too much food. Mary was the one who would give you the shirt off of her back and always lent a helping hand. Mary was the one who would be your best friend in good times and in bad. Mary was the one in a million friend to many and will be greatly missed by them all.
Mary was predeceased by her father Arthur Austin and her brother Garry Austin. Mary is survived by her devoted husband, Scott, and her beloved daughters, Annmarie Lozada and Gianna Casale. Mary also leaves behind her mother, Mary Austin; step daughter, Jessica (Dan) McMahon; step son, Christian (Ellie) Boehm ; her sister, Ann Marie (Ed) Capriani and her two brothers Edward (Melissa) Austin, and Robert Austin. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren; Jamie, Riley, and Grayson along with nieces and nephews; Arthur (Danielle) McInally, Christopher and Nicholas Capriani, Skye, Aiden, Edward and Liam Austin and great nieces and nephews; Logan, Madison, Peyton, Luke and Landon McInally and lest we forget Mary's beloved dog, Bella.
Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday from 2 to 6 pm at Scott and Kedz Home for Funerals. A Funeral Service will conclude the evening and a private cremation will follow.
