Mary M. DeWaters, 53, of Middletown, passed away Thursday, April 8th, surrounded by her family at her home after a valiant battle with cancer. Mary was born in Manhattan, NY on July 8, 1967. She was raised in New York City and lived in Staten Island. After marrying, she moved to Middletown to raise their family. Mary was a claims adjustor at Epic Insurance Brokers in Jersey City for the past several years. She was a communicant of St. Catherine's Church in Middletown. Mary loved animals. She always had dogs and cats as pets in her home. She also had a passion for shopping! But most of all, she loved her family and spending time with her boys. It would not be surprising to see Mary dressed in goalie gear defending hockey shots from her boys!
Mary is survived by her devoted husband of 22 years, Lawrence DeWaters, and their two sons, Eric and Daniel. Mary also leaves behind her mother and step father, Eileen and Michael Lough of PA.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects Sunday from 3 - 6 pm and again Monday from 8 - 9 am at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Catherine RC Church, Bray Ave., Middletown, at 9:30 am on Monday, April 12th. A Private cremation will follow.
