Mary Lou Bayard, 83, a lifelong resident of East Keansburg passed away Thursday, June 7th. Mary Lou worked at Perkin Elmer in Oceanport for 20 years where she assembled computer chips and made controllers for F-16 fighter planes before retiring 28 years ago. She was an active member of Belford United Methodist Church and belonged to their Mary Martha Circle. Mary Lou enjoyed playing Bingo with her best friend Eleanor , but her favorite pastime was being a Mom and Grandma. She devoted her life to her family.
Mary Lou is survived by her childhood sweetheart and beloved husband of 63 years, John W. "Jack" Bayard and their children Lynda, and her husband Gene Pedoto, of Lincroft and John W. Bayard, Jr. and his wife Jill, of Middletown. Mary Lou also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren; Jessica Scicchiatano and her husband Joe, along with Wesley Bayard and his fiancé Amy Johnson, and her daughter Kiernan. Mary Lou was predeceased by her father Charles Mayer and sisters Lillian McQuillan and Betty Ann Gumbrecht.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects Sunday from 2 -5 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, 153 Church St., Belford. The Funeral Service will be held at Belford United Methodist Church, at 10 am on Monday, followed by the burial at Fairview Cemetery.
