Maryann Bonner, 78, a longtime resident of Keansburg, passed away Wednesday, December 8th after a valiant battle against breast cancer. Maryann was born and raised in Bayonne, the only child of the late Marie Bonner. She settled in Keansburg during the 1980's. Maryann was an accountant and worked many years in Bayonne and then at Revco in New York City. Most recently, she was working in Edison and was hoping to return to working after her cancer treatments.
Maryann loved children and was very close with her extended family members. She was always the "Aunt" that everyone could rely on. She was a generous person and would help wherever she could. She volunteered her accounting services at Project Paul for many years. Maryann loved to keep busy and often times it was busy helping people. She will always be fondly remembered for her big heart and the ablity to see the good in people.
Maryann is survived by her Aunt Elizabeth Thompson of Keansburg and Uncle Anthony Bonner of Georgia along with many loving cousins.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects on Monday from 5 - 8 pm and Tuesday from 8:30 - 9:30 am at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Ann's Church at 10 am on Tuesday, December 14th. The burial will follow Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
