Michael Herman, Sr. Obituary

Michael David Herman, Sr., 59, of Leonardo, peacefully passed away with his family by his side on Friday, May 15th, after a courageous battle with Pancreatic cancer.  Michael was born in Miami, Florida on January 7, 1961, a son of the late Jean and Edward Herman. He was raised in the Bayshore area and lived in Belford before moving to Leonardo 22 years ago. Michael worked for Xerox and later the Stewart division, where he started as a machine technician then became an instructor who taught the trade to new technicians.  Michael was a member of Calvary Chapel in Leonardo. He had a deep faith and loved his church and it's community. In his spare time, Michael could be found fishing or tinkering with computers. All his friends knew that they could come to him for any computer advice or repairs. Michael was loved by many and had a way about him that made everyone he met a "friend."

Michael is survived by his adoring wife of over 20 years, Cynthia Herman. He also leaves behind his beloved children, Rachael Herman and Michael Herman, Jr. , along with a grandson Brodie, several nieces and many dear friends. He will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Michael was predeceased by his brother Kevin in 2013.

Due to the current pandemic, the funeral and entombment at Monmouth Memorial Park  will be private for the family.

In Lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to help with Michael's funeral and medical expenses at https://www.gofundme.com/f/for-my-father-and-his-medical-bills?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1
