Mildred L. (Festejo) Kube

Mildred Kube, 84, Ocean Township, passed away on September 27, 2016 after a long illness. She was born in Newark NJ on February 9, 1932. A lifelong Sea Bright resident, Millie was known for her love of children, especially babies. Legend has it, that she babysat all of the children of Sea Bright. Millie was an excellent baker, her chocolate chip cookies and pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing were famous in several states. She loved Big Band music, Tom Jones, and Englebert Humperdink, and her love for rollercoasters had her travelling the country in search of the ultimate ride. Millie was a devout Methodist and attended the Sea Bright Methodist Church.

She is will always be remembered by: her children, Richard Lee of Long Branch, Brian Lee (Nancy Eder) of New York City, and Kendra McCann (Keith McCann) of Ocean Township; her five grandchildren, Kitty Casselman, Kristin McCann, Kelsey McCann, Benjamin Lee, Harry Lee; great grandchildren, Forest Casselman, Hunter Casselman, James Keehn; and her siblings, Frank Festejo of Long Branch, Richard Loray of West Long Branch, Robert Loray of Sea Bright, and Pauline Eustice of West Long Branch. She was predeceased by her two daughters; Laura Stewart and Sandra Lee.

Friends and relatives may pay their respects, Sunday, October 2nd from 1-3 pm at the Sea Bright United Methodist Church, 1104 Ocean Ave., Sea Bright. The funeral service will immediately follow at 3 pm. A private cremation will take place on Monday.
