Patrick "Scapper" Shopp, 54, of Port Monmouth, passed away unexpectedly June 10th at Riverview Medical Center. Pat was born in Jersey City, on September 16, 1966, a son of the last Ronald and Margaret Shopp. His family moved to Belford when he was an infant and has lived in the Bayshore area his entire life. They would often go camping, fishing or just be home enjoying a feast that he would prepare. His family dubbed him the "Best chef ever!" He was also an avid sports fan. He would always be sure to watch his favorite teams, the Giants and Yankees when they played or a race when NASCAR was on. Pat will always be fondly remembered as wonderful, selfless man who was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
