Paul "Paulie Red" Colon, 58, of Colonia, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 21st, at his home. Paul was born in New Haven, Conneticut on June 27, 1958, a son of Marie and Felix Colon. Paul lived most of his life in Conneticut before moving to New Jersey a year ago. Paul proudly served his country during the early 70's in the U.S. Army. He worked in the housekeeping department at Lyons VA Hospital. Paul enjoyed dancing and cooking. He was an avid Giants and Yankees fan and most of all he adored his family, especially spending time with his grandkids.
Paul is survived by his wife, Angellina Vazquez-Colon and his children; two sons Michael Doty and Paul Jr.
He also leaves behind three sisters, Angelina Jette, Linda Wigginton-Colon, Annie Melendez; his brother, Brian Colon and 5 grandchildren; Kania Colon, Paul Colon, Declan Harootunian, AryannaPerrin and Alyssa Hall. Paul was predeceased by his brother Philip Colon and sister Josephine Colon.
