Rachel I. Wieczenski, 87, a longtime resident of Port Monmouth, peacefully passed away Thursday, March 8th, with her family by her side. Rachel was an administrative assistant at The Law Offices of Carolyn Campo in Belford for several years. She was a communicant of St. Catherine's Church in Middletown. Rachel enjoyed her years spent at the Shoal Harbor senior living complex. She started a news letter that contained the local events and happenings and resident's birthdays and anniversaries. For the past two years she has enjoyed her time spent at the Fallon Manor senior living complex. Family was the most important thing in Rachel's life. Spending time with her grandchildren is what she cherished most. She was a wonderful, devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
Rachel was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1995 and their daughter Mary Folio in 1978. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Dan Barry, of Port Monmouth. She also leaves behind 4 grandsons; Mark (Larissa) Folio, Danny (Lisa) Barry, Andrew Barry, and Steven Barry along with 7 great grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to attend A Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at Saint Catherine's Church, Bray Ave. Middletown, at 9:30 am on Saturday, March 17th. The burial and committal will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
