Richard C. Nixon, 67, of Union Beach, passed away Monday, February 17th. Richard was born in Red Bank, on January 24, 1953, a son of the late Marion and John J. Nixon. He was raised in Union Beach and in 1971 left to serve in the United States Navy. After his discharge, he married his childhood sweetheart in 1978, and moved to California .  They returned to New Jersey in 1996 and lived in Middletown for 17 years before returning to the street where they grew up, Park Ave. in Union Beach.  Rich was a project manager for the commercial moving company,  A. Santini, in Roseland, for many years. Rich loved his job and when he was not working he was designing creative solutions to make his work more manageable. He liked tinkering and building things that made everyday tasks easier. Rich was also an avid reader and enjoyed fishing, crabbing, trips to the casinos and vacations with his wife, Jackie. Rich will always be remembered as a patient, good natured and loving family man.
