Richard S. Zaborney, 74, of Keyport, passed away Wednesday, December 11th. Richard was born in Long Branch, one of 5 sons born to the late Josephine and Joseph Zaborney. He was raised in Port Monmouth and Belford and lived most of his life in the Bayshore Area. Richard proudly served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. He worked in maintenence at Bayshore Hospital for many years. Richard mostly kept to himself, but could be found fishing along the Bayshore coastline.
Richard is survived by his son, Richard, Jr., his wife Alyssa, and their two children, of Nashville, Tenn. He also leaves behind two brothers and their wives; Eugene and Arliene Zaborney of Port Monmouth and Thomas and Marge Zaborney of Manchester. He was predeceased by his brothers John and Robert.
A private cremation was entrusted to Bayshore Cremations and his ashes will be placed at the NJ Veterans Cemetery.
