Robert G. Halvorsen, 60, a lifelong resident of the Middletown Bayshore area, peacefully passed away Monday, January 15th, at his home. Bobby was an electrician with Electric Connection in Middletown, before that he assembled aircraft dolly parts for 25 years at Aircraft Gallery in Eatontown . Bobby enjoyed playing golf and surfing , he was also a catcher for area softball teams and an avid Yankees and Giants fan.
Robert is survived by his brother, William Lynch, of Middletown, a nephew, Kenneth Halvorsen, Jr. of Toms River and a niece, Holly Halvorsen of Howell. Bobby also leaves behind many dear friends including his brotherhood the "Royal Order of Funk" Bobby will be greatly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known him.
Bobby was predeceased by his brother Kenneth Halvorsen, on the same day last year.
A Memorial Gathering will take place Saturday from 2-4 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, 153 Church St, Belford. A Service of Remembrance will conclude the afternoon gathering.
In lieu of flowers, the funeral home will be accepting donations to help offset the funeral expenses.
