Rosa A. Melendez

  Rosa Melendez, 78, a lifelong resident of New York City, passed away Thursday, January 19th, 2023. Rosa was born in Loiza, Puerto Rico on October 3, 1944, a daughter of the late Cristina (Maldonado)  and Santos  Melendez.  Rosa worked in the contract department at the New York City Housing Authority for many years. She enjoyed walking and spending time with her grandchildren. Rosa will be remembered as a tough but loving mother, grandmother and friend.
   Rosa is  survived by her two sons Osvaldo Melendez and Angelo Carzoglio. She also leaves behind her sister, Elizabeth Maldonado and 3 grandchildren; Cadence, Jonah and Bethany. She was predeceased by her sister Luz Soto.
   Friends and relatives may pay their respects on Saturday from 1 - 3 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals. A private cremation will follow.
