Salvatore Mazzella, 65, of Winn, Maine, passed away December 8, 2022. Sal was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 9, 1957, the oldest child of the late Dorothy and Michael Mazzella. Raised in Brooklyn, his family moved to Staten Island where he lived before retiring to Maine in 2017. He truly loved the beauty and peace of the Maine countryside.
Sal was a history buff, loved old war movies, and was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. He was the fun uncle loved by all! He will always be remembered as a loving brother, the best uncle anyone could ever ask for, and the funniest person in the room.
Sal is survived by his sister Liberta Windram and brother Peter Mazzella. He also leaves behind his loving nieces and nephews: Matthew (Tracey) Windram, Julie Windram, Emily Windram (Timothy Mahon), Michael Mazzella, Sophia Mazzella, and great-nephew TJ Sincavage.
Family and friends may attend a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, March 4th from 2-4 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, 153 Church St., Belford, NJ. A service will conclude the afternoon at 4 pm.
