Sean William Conroy, 65, of Belford, passed away Wednesday, November 23rd, after a long battle with heart and lung disease. Sean was born in Staten Island, NY on October 22, 1957, a son of the late Edith and William Conroy. His family moved to Middletown in 1968 where he lived with his parents and 5 siblings.
Sean was a well driller for Hamer Inc. in Belford for many years. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing down at the docks, camping, and spending Sundays with his family and friends in the picnic area of Monmouth Park Racetrack betting on the horses. He was a loving and devoted father who was very proud of all his children.
Sean is survived by his wife, Anita Nicosia and his children; Faith, Ana, Michael, and William, along with his stepson and wife, Manny and Heather Gonzalez. Sean also leaves behind his four sisters; Meg Conroy, Helen (Chuck) Spina, Kate Conroy, and Christine (Jack) Lupton and two grandchildren; Manny Jr. and Athena Gonzalez. Sean was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Edie; brother Leo Conroy and his daughter Ashley.
Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday from 2 - 5 pm at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals. A Funeral Service will conclude the evening and a private cremation will follow.
